EEG Device Buying Guide

By Published On: August 13, 2024

Are you a psychic?

Or maybe on the neurodivergent spectrum?

You might find it interesting to learn more about EEG’s.

They are the waves that your brain produces.

You’re gonna find that over the next decade or two…

This will become mainstream discussion.

Because we have mapped the brain for a while now.

We understand Memory, Thinking, Senses, etc

What we haven’t mapped as well is…

Psychic phenomena.

Remote Viewing, Mediums, Akashic Record access, Astral Projection, etc.

As we learn to hone in on these areas…

It’s going to allow for everyone to become psychic.

Because psychic ability is a function we all have access to.

We just need to turn it on.

Imagine if in society…

The day you were born we gave you a wheelchair.

You’d probably never learn to walk.

After 100 years, we’d probably think it’s foolish to imagine anyone being able to use their legs.

That’s kinda where we are right now.

After shutting down our psychic functions for a few hundred years.

Due to trauma and things like…

Burning witches.

We stopped turning on these functions.

Which means…

There’s always room to turn them back on.

EEG analysis will help us with that.

If you’re the amateur who wants to explore this.

I’m going to summarize some of the best options available on the market.

They vary from a few hundred dollars to a few thousands.

And each one has a bit of a different focus.

Each device comes with a app.

These are generally run of the mill apps that will include soundscapes, visualizations and data.

That tend to prioritize…

Making you more calm or focused.

What they don’t really do… is the psychic stuff.

In order to do that.

You’re going to need one of these devices…

And the tinkering mind.

It’s going to require a more hands on approach.

If you’re a neurodivergent reading this…

That’s probably no problem for you.

This will be a great hobby to hyperfocus on.

As far as the EEG headsets.

I’ll start with the one I use….

Which is the Muse headband.

It’s a 4 channel headband and is a good entry level choice.

They start around $250

This device is probably best for meditation.

The app will read your brainwaves and when you enter calmer meditation states it will play the sounds of birds to let you know when you’re in the meditative flow.

It also works for sleep too.

And will tell you about your REM, sleep cycles, etc.

One downside of this device is they try to use a subscription model for the extra stuff.

Luckily you don’t need any of that tho.

And you can use an app called Mind Monitor to read your raw brainwaves and plug in to other tools.

For the other devices…

I don’t have personal experience with them.

But from my own research.

They are some of the best contenders on the market.

I’ll put links for everything in the comments.

OpenBCI
————
They are probably the top end of the amateur and semi pro market. They have many different options. They have 16/32 channel headbands. EEG devices with VR headsets. As well as visualization devices that will flash blinking lights in your eyes.

They’re doing a ton of research and have forums for hobbyist to troubleshoot and create together. A great all around, yet expensive option. This is for someone who plans to take it seriously.

Neurosity Crown
————————
This one is cool for the hands on techies. If I get another headband, it’d probably be this one or OpenBCI. You can do custom development with it to control things like drones, or input into chat gpt with your thoughts. This one is for the tinkerers and if you want to do really creative stuff, it’s probably a good pick. The device in the picture for this post is the Neurosity Crown.

Sens AI
————
This one is interesting because it combines audio input with the device as it has headphones built in. It also has infrared stimulation and combining all of these it creates an interesting experience. Knowing that consciousness can be altered with lights and sounds, this option seems compelling.

Mendi

They have an interesting device that’s geared more towards focus and concentration. It uses interesting visual animations for you to focus on in their app. I would say it’s similar to the Muse headband.

————
EMOTIV
————
These used to be more popular a few years ago but it seems like some other contenders are capturing the market. It has more channels than something like the Muse and has a few more functions but in may not have the most useful form fact.

These aren’t the only options on the market…

But they are some of the most notable.

If you’re on your way to becoming a…

Psychic Avenger.

It’s worth exploring EEG devices.
