Global spontaneous spiritual awakenings is on the rise. Here’s how you can spot a Kundalini Awakening.

Know that…

the process of a Kundalini awakening has been studied for centuries.

Not just in eastern tradition.

It’s a phenomenon that has been witnessed across the world in various traditions under different names.

Here’s what to look out for 👇🏽

I used to wonder how people knew if they had gone through a Kundalini Awakening.

What are the measurable signs of change that you should pay attention to…

Well…

The symptoms can be broken into four categories.

🔴 Motor
🟡 Sensory
🟢 Interpretive
🔵 Non-Physiological

But before we cover those.

What is actually a Kundalini Awakening?

First, Kundalini refers to the energy that animates your physical body.

It comes from Sanskrit and it means circular or coiled.

A Kundalini Awakening is the process where you awaken the dormant energy stowed away in the base of your spine.

To raise it through the body, up the spine, to the head, down the face and ending in the abdomen.

This process is not just referenced in Hinduism.

It is also found in Africa amongst the !Kung people where they dance for many hours to heat up this energy.

They called it the !kia state.

Even in Western culture.

The famous caduceus symbol in healthcare is said to be a representation of Kundalini energy as well.

It represents the two energy forces; masculine and feminine, as they intertwine, rising up the spine to the crown.

Typically, a Kundalini awakening can be accompanied by a few things.

➥ Physiological changes in the body

➥ Greater sense of awareness and rise in consciousness

➥ Greater sense of calmness and stability in life and your relationships

➥ Access to spiritual realms and psychic powers. Often called Siddhis

Usually…

It’s noted that the beginning of the rise of energy can be felt in the left big toe.

Until it rises up and over to end in the throat or abdomen

The process can take several months, or as classic yoga describes, a minimum of 3 years.

Now, let’s cover each of the categories more deeply.

🔴 Motor

These changes refer to any manifestations which can be independently observed and physically measured. They might look like…

🔴 Body Movements
This would be spontaneous movements in any part of the body. Sometimes jerky or even vibratory. The body may also assume classic Hatha yoga postures on it’s own volition and hold them for extended periods

🔴 Abnormal Breathing Patterns
Spontaneous breathing patterns can also emerge in your life. You may begin to experience a various of changes in breathing. It might be rapid, shallow, or deep breathing, or even, prolonged retention of the breath.

🔴 Paralysis
During deep meditation the body may sometimes become temporarily locked to a certain posture.

🟡 Sensory

This category refers to the inner sensations you that are often experienced. They may look like…

🟡 Body Sensations
Either the skin, or inside of the body may begin to tingle, vibrate, itch or tickle. It’ll often start in the feet and legs and then move up the back, towards the top of the head, down the forehead, to the throat and terminate in the abdomen.

🟡 Hot and Cold
This is experienced as extreme temperatures that sometimes move through the body. Heat is a very common aspect as the Kundalini energy is often experienced as a sense of fire overcoming the body.

🟡 Inner Lights and Visions
A variety of lights may appear internally, and in some rare cases externally. Where a Yogi has become radiant enough to light a room filled with darkness.

🟡 Sounds
These are heard internally and may come in the form of voices but also whistling, hissing, chirping or a flute like roaring.

🟡 Pains
This is a common one, that is often reported in the head, eyes, spine or other parts of the body. It may be caused by a resistance to the process or intensely experience in areas of the body that have not yet been sufficiently opened.

🟢 Interpretive

These are mental processes which refer to how you may interpret the experience…

🟢 Unusual or Extreme Emotions
Ecstasy, bliss, peace, love, devotion, joy and cosmic harmony may occur. But also intense fear

🟢 Distortions of thoughts
You might feel as if your thoughts speed up, slow down, or stop altogether. It may create the feeling of being close to insanity.

🟢 Detachment
You may feel like your are experiencing all that is happening. Like you’re on the Truman Show. Witnessing your own thoughts and feelings, but from a distance.

🟢 Disassociation
This is withdrawal of the self from active involvement or identification with what it perceives attained. This can cause fear, or confusion because you no longer conform to societal pressures.

🔵 Non-Physiological

These are phenomena which, taken at face value are genuine occurrences where physiological explanations are not enough.

🔵 Out of Body Experiences
This is known as Astral Projection, and you may perceive yourself in certain states to be external to your body. Your consciousness has expanded its awareness beyond the self.

🔵 Psychic Perceptions
This is the ability to obtain information through other means than the physical senses. Although this is not always a sign of a Kundalini awakening, it sometimes comes along with it.

Along with these changes.

You will often see changes in environmental patterns as well.

Your life will begin to change as a result of different choices in life and different things you give meaning to.

It’s important to realize this is a natural process that occurs in the body and is often initiatd by disciplined meditation over time.

But it does not need to happen this way.

It can also happen spontaneously… which is often the case.

It’s also worth noting.

This is an other worldly experience and should be handled with care.

Individuals often seek out activating Kundalini energy prematurely.

Desiring to jump start the process through pranayama breathing or other techniques.

Yogic tradition often advises against this noting its potential danger.

If you run too much power through a computer, for example.

Without upgrading your internal parts (body).

You could blow up the engine.

The same goes for you.

Schizophrenia and other psychotic states can often be introduced when prematurely accelerating the Kundalini energy.

A fracture in consciousness that is not yet ready…

Oh and one more thing…
